The Midtown Community Works Partnership provides a forum to coordinate an array of public and private investments. The focus is on projects that seek to enhance economic vitality, improve connections to the local and regional transit systems, and improve the surrounding neighborhoods. These projects range from the Midtown Greenway, the Midtown Exchange redevelopment, Lake Street reconstruction, and an annual Arbor Day tree planting.

Nationally recognized for its accomplishments, the Phillips Partnership united business executives and elected officials to focus on safety, jobs, housing and transportation in the greater Phillips neighborhood, an economically challenged area that saw a rebound in the decade after the Partnership was formed in 1997. The group and its members helped to guide $1.5 billion in strategic investment, attracting the people and enterprise needed to make the neighborhood thrive.
